A vertical ruin motif with a strong sense of depth. The work is especially suited to a tall card in the museum grid. The historical technique of cyanotype lends the motif an archival depth in which light, paper and memory interact. The work stands as an autonomous one-of-a-kind piece whose meaning is revealed less through explanation than through the act of seeing.
