Hotel Underground

Not for sale

Ralph D. Woop

2016

A dark, scenic work with a subterranean atmosphere. The figures and spaces feel lifted from a memory or a dream. The characteristic blue creates distance and calm; the image appears less as a mere depiction than as the trace of a past scene. The work stands as an autonomous one-of-a-kind piece whose meaning is revealed less through explanation than through the act of seeing.
