A portrait with strong light-dark contrast and a raw stage atmosphere. The burning technique emphasises expression, shadow and fragile presence. This creates a work between drawing, material and narrative, in which the burn mark itself becomes a pictorial expression. Read as a portrait, the work refuses a smooth surface and instead seeks character, memory and presence.
