Ralph D. Woop

2021

A dark portrait with a hood and strong lighting. The pyrography underscores the concentrated, almost closed-off effect. The burnt line makes the creative process visible; wood, mark and motif remain inseparably connected. The figure appears not merely as a motif but as the carrier of a story that keeps working within the material.
