Ralph D. Woop

2018

A music portrait with a typographic addition and a clear pop aesthetic. The wooden surface lends the motif warmth and ageing. The surface of the support is not concealed but becomes a resonating space for the depiction, giving the image its handcrafted presence. The gaze and posture of the figure condense into a quiet counterpart that creates closeness and distance at once.
