Ralph D. Woop

2014

A vertical cyanotype with a symbolic, observing presence. The work plays with gaze, intuition and an almost mystical calm. Between graphic precision and atmospheric blur, a work emerges that slows the gaze and invites quiet contemplation. Read as a portrait, the work refuses a smooth surface and instead seeks character, memory and presence.
