2019
A surrealist-inspired landscape work in pyrography. The pictorial idea thrives on ambiguity, optical illusion and dream logic. This creates a work between drawing, material and narrative, in which the burn mark itself becomes a pictorial expression. The work deliberately leaves room for ambiguity and shifts the boundary between motif, sign and inner image.
