Duo II

Private collection

Ralph D. Woop

2016

The second part of the Duo series, with a figurative relationship and a subtle tension. Ideal as a counterpart to 'Duo Part I'. The characteristic blue creates distance and calm; the image appears less as a mere depiction than as the trace of a past scene. The work stands as an autonomous one-of-a-kind piece whose meaning is revealed less through explanation than through the act of seeing.
